PURE SINE WAVE UPS

SSP UPS With Electronic Power Conditioner (TBF™) & Pure Sinewave Output

SIMULATED SINE WAVE VS. PURE SINE WAVE
The inverter is the heart of the UPS, and the most expensive and complex component, converting DC power into AC power. In the computer / commodity environment, this is the component that is subject to the most ways to decrease cost.

SIMULATED SINE WAVE OUTPUT
Most people figure that AC is AC, and that output from the inverter is a natural sine wave. Truth is, there are several types of output: Square Wave, Step Wave or Simulated Sine Wave. These types of wave forms approximate a pure sine waveform. Modified sine wave inverters are designed to satisfy the efficiency requirements of the photovoltaic system while being less expensive than pure sine waveform inverters. These inverters are capable of operating a wide variety of loads, including, but not limited to electronic and household items such as TVs, DVD players, satellite receivers, computers, and printers.

PURE SINE WAVE OUTPUT
In order to make a sine wave we have to use a Pulse-Width Modulated Inverter, which will increase the cost of the unit. A PWM Inverter will put out a sine wave with some distortion, but very little in comparison to the other type of modified sine waves. The benefits of Pure Sine Wave output are less stress on components, less noise, cleaner power and better long-term performance while operating on battery power.
